The Art Of Chiropractic

Chiropractic doctors spend a vast amount of time and energy learning the art of chiropractic adjustments. An adjustment is a specific force, which, when delivered correctly, corrects spinal misalignments, called ‘subluxations’. These subluxations are what causes the interference to the bodies natural healing ability.

Not all Chiropractors are created equally. Some Chiropractors take the art of Chiropractic very seriously. When the Chiropractic adjustment is delivered at the right force, right angle, right intensity, right time and with the right intent – miracles can happen! We, at the C.H.C. take Chiropractic care very seriously! (and we see miracles happen all the time!!)

What Is Chiropractic Care?

Chiropractic is a holistic approach to getting and keeping your body healthy. It has been scientifically proven to be effective for lower back pain, neck pain, headaches as well as many other symptoms. Chiropractors do not use drugs; they align and balance the body so that the body heals itself. Although Chiropractic care is extremely effective at solving many symptoms it’s true value is much deeper…

The main premise of chiropractic is that the human body has an inborn healing power which is known to flow and function through the nervous system. As long as a persons nervous system is flowing at 100%, that person will be 100% healthy. If there is pressure or interference on a person’s nervous system (on the spinal cord or spinal nerves) then that person’s health will be less than 100%; the more pressure, the lower that persons capacity for healing.

Chiropractic is an art, a science and a philosophy of health care. It’s foundations are centuries old; based on the belief that the power that made the body heals the body! The main goal of Chiropractic care is to remove any and all interference in the body, allowing that individual to return to a state of health and vitality. Simply stated; Chiropractic care allows your body to heal itself.

The Science Of Chiropractic

Chiropractic is firmly based in science. It has been scientifically proven to be effective for many musculo-skeletal conditions such as lower back pain, neck pain and headaches. Chiropractic utilizes that latest in technology to help find and correct spinal subluxations – including x-rays, MRI scan, CT scans and EMG scans. Chiropractic doctors are fully trained to recognize both chiropractic conditions and medical conditions.

Chiropractic doctors have a minimum of 7 years education; this includes 3 years of pre-med sciences at an accredited college or university and 4 years of graduate study in an accredited chiropractic school. The Chiropractic doctor then must successfully pass 4 national board license examinations as well as 1-2 State examinations.

The Philosophy Of Chiropractic

Chiropractic has a rich and comprehensive philosophy with it’s roots in holistic health care. It’s main premise: the body has an inborn ability to heal and regulate itself. This inborn ability is referred to as a person’s innate intelligence. Spinal subluxations cause interference on spinal nerves. These nerves are essential for the body’s inborn intelligence to function. Correcting the spinal subluxations reduces and ultimately removes the interference to the innate intelligence which allows the body to heal itself.
